"Moonstones" can be found throughout the California coastline, in certain climate conditions, and this one is from a collection that I found during a very rainy season when the conditions exposed strata from the 1920's.
The frosty patterns on these stones are the results of years of calcification at the rock's seams, and they are mesmerizing. They are so bright and cheery that they look like “California Diamonds,” but without the heaviness associated with diamond. They are often used to remind oneself of their own inner strength and to invite positivity when interacting in the world.
